Construction Introduction:

Qutub Minar is the highest minaret of India. It was built by Qutubuddin Aibak in the twelfth century. According to some, it was built by Prithviraj for his daughter Bela. She used to stand on the roof of this tower and view the Yamuna river every day. The purpose of building this tower was also to protect Delhi. The Iron Pillar, built in the fourth century near Qutub Minar, was built in honor of the Hindu god Lord Vishnu. According to some scholars, it was built in the memory of King Chandragupta of the Gupta dynasty, who ruled from 375 AD to 413 AD. Like the Red Fort of Delhi, Qutub Minar has also got a place in the UNESCO World Heritage Site. Therefore it is well known all over the world.
